The North Carolina Textile Foundation has invited NCSSM to nominate up to five outstanding seniors—interested in the fields of engineering, business management, chemistry, polymer chemistry, forensics, medical fields, international studies, design, apparel, sourcing, fashion, merchandising, or retail management—for the Centennial Scholars Program in the College of Textiles at North Carolina State University. Centennial Scholars are selected on the basis of demonstrated high academic achievement throughout high school, proven and potential leadership, active participation in extracurricular activities, and unique life experiences.
The Centennial Scholarship covers most of the in-state cost of attending North Carolina State. In addition, each scholar has access to an enrichment fund to support participation in a variety of leadership, language immersion and international studies programs, international textile shows and other textile enrichment opportunities.
Students who wish to be considered for nomination by NCSSM should submit the online nomination application no later than Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 12pm.
Please note: even though our nomination deadline is after the October 15 NC State admission deadline, students applying for this scholarship must submit their admission application by October 15 to be considered for the Centennial Scholarship.
Students may also self-endorse via the N.C. State College of Textiles website.
For further information, visit the N.C. State College of Textiles Scholarship Page.
The deadline for submitting your completed application is Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
